The life expectancy of your roof depends on three main factors: the type of roofing material you choose, the effects the environment has on your roof, and the maintenance your roof receives.

Assuming your roof receives annual inspections and does not face any extreme hail or storm damage, here’s what the life expectancy of your Florida roof will look like:

• Asphalt shingles: 15 to 20 years
• Metal slates: 15 to 40 years
• Clay tiles: 20+ years
